Vocational education is training that prepares people to work as a technician or to take up employment in a skilled craft or trade.

Vocational qualifications refer to work-related qualifications. They are designed to enable individuals to acquire knowledge and skills that are required by the National Occupational Standards (NOS) to be able to perform a particular job.

Vocational skills are practical skills that help an individual become proficient in a trade or profession. These skills prepare you to work in a skills-based career, such as working as an artisan, carpenter, mason, electrician and other trades and crafts.

CTP’s vocational courses are designed to help young people learn in a practical way about a specific job area – helping them to get the skills needed to start a job, progress in a career or go on to higher levels of education.
